3. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Basic use:
SOLID/FLUE® chimney lining mix combined with water produces a lightweight, insulating compound used for the lining or relining of residential, commercial, and industrial chimneys. The SOLID/FLUE® chimney lining system has passed the following tests: Tested and listed by WARNOCK HERSEY Testing Labs to UL 1777 and ULC S64OM-1987D. See B.O.C.A. Research Report #91 -1 0

Limitations: SOLID/FLUE® chimney lining systems are not generally used for structural purposes. However, for lining chimneys, this formula increases structural strength substantially and makes an excellent fireproof and insulated liner.

Applicable Standards: Specification for SOLID/FLUE® aggregates must conform to ASTM C 332.

Test for compressive strength for lightweight liner mix ASTM 495 securing, preparing and testing lightweight chimney insulating formula ASTM C 513.

4. TECHNICAL DATA
Physical properties can vary according to mix design.

Chimney Lining: Mix can be made with a dry density of 20 lb./ft3 (320 kg/M3) or with the addition of other aggregates up to 90 lb./ft.3 (1440 kg/M3). For SOLID/ FLUE®, a proper balance of insulation values and compressive strength has been carefully chosen. The density range of SOLID/FLUE® must be between 45

and 55 lb./ft.3 This provides a "k" factor range of .8 to 1.0 BTU in./h.ft.2 and a compressive strength range of 1000 to 2160 PSI. For specific application requirements or for high "R" values, consult with SOLID/FLUE® Chimney Systems, Inc., at 616-940-8809. Typical physical properties of SOLID/FLUE® Chimney Lining Mix are found in Table 1
